🐾 What a PAW-some day we’ve had! 🐾
Today we took some of our residents on a day out to Paws in the Park at Detling Show ground — and what a fantastic time we had!
There was so much to see and enjoy. We watched some amazing dogs competing for their rosettes 🏵️, enjoyed the agility displays, and watched dogs taking part in dock diving 💦
We wandered around all the stalls, watched the dogs being pampered and groomed, and of course treated ourselves to some delicious homemade fudge! 😋
But one of the best parts of the day was meeting so many of our four-legged friends along the way 🐶 People were so kind, stopping to say hello and even letting their dogs sit on our residents’ laps for cuddles. 🥰
It was such a lovely day filled with laughter, fresh air, cuddles, wagging tails and wonderful memories. 💜

A winning day out for Barnes Lodge residents!
Residents from Barnes Lodge Care Home recently enjoyed a fantastic trip to Lingfield Park Racecourse for a day of racing, refreshments and a little friendly competition.
The group soaked up the atmosphere, cheered on their chosen horses and even celebrated a few winning bets along the way. Between races, there was time to relax together over drinks and ice cream, making it a memorable day out for everyone.

Residents from Barnes Lodge Care Home recently enjoyed a fantastic day out at Lingfield Park Racecourse, with an afternoon of racing and refreshments.
We have received such a generous donation from the lovely Claire from Bubbly Books ! 👩🎨🎨
Claire is an independent award-winning Usborne Partner who raises funds to provide brain booster packs to facilities that provide dementia care.
She very kindly donated these to Barnes Lodge as part of her scheme and we are so grateful! We can’t wait to use these with our residents 😊
