We focus on person-centered care and provide residential, nursing and dementia care for 60 residents. The modern and luxurious design of our Canterbury care home provides well-equipped, bright lounges and ensuite bedrooms to support person-centred care in which residents enjoy activities and socialise with other residents and staff.
As a testament to our unique approach, Chaucer House has recently been recognised in property firm, Knight Frank’s, Luxury Care Home Guide 2020.

We focus on our ethos, 'everyone matters, ' and offer extra assistance to residents whenever needed, whether in the form of companionship or personal care.

Residents can enjoy various beauty treatments and thrilling films or connect with younger visitors, using our range of toys in the playroom. Our home has community and independence in mind, providing communal tablets for residents to browse online and stay connected with loved ones through email or video.

At the heart of the home is our Philosophy of Care, the Eden Alternative (Awarded Foundation), where our team encourages connection and independent living, reducing loneliness and boredom in the care home community and beyond. We aim for every resident to enjoy the next chapter of life and discover a new life purpose.
Entertainment and activities are a priority at Chaucer House, with our daily activities programme. We offer day trips to local places of interest via the minibus, inviting residents to embrace adventure. Visiting attractions keeps our residents connected with the community outside Chaucer House, building confidence and socialisation.
