About our Home
Barnes Lodge is a purpose-built and modern care facility that offers full-time specialist residential, nursing and dementia care for 101 residents. At Barnes Lodge, the team of qualified and attentive staff work to create a welcoming atmosphere and put the health and well-being of the residents at the heart of everything they do.
The modern and stunning design provides well-equipped, bright lounges and en suite bedrooms to support person-centred care in which residents enjoy activities and socialise with other residents and staff.
At the heart of our care home is the Avante philosophy of care, the Eden Alternative. Staff encourage social interaction, connection and engagement, and work towards the eradication of loneliness, boredom and a feeling of helplessness which can present a challenge to those receiving care.
Barnes Lodge offers spacious and well-decorated en-suite bedrooms and comfortable communal rooms. Residents can visit the pretty gardens to while away a peaceful afternoon, or join in with the daily programme of activities throughout the home. Barnes Lodge also has a stylish hair and beauty salon for residents to treat themselves to a little pampering and relaxation.
All laundry is included and managed by the home domestic team but should residents wish to continue independently with daily tasks such as cleaning and laundry there’s always practical support available from staff.
All meals are nutritionally balanced, freshly prepared and cooked at the home and the catering team is always on hand to meet any dietary requirements or requests.
Barnes Lodge offers a respite care service that gives family carers or caregivers the chance to have a break from caring, go on holiday or simply have some well-earned time off.

Our Reception is always staffed by a friendly receptionist who is there to welcome and assist you with any enquiries you may have. The reception is bright and has a warm atmosphere.

Our lounge offers our residents and families of residents a place to relax and socialise.
Dining Room
We have a large dining areas that provide nutritious, hydrating, and comforting food. Our restaurant areas also are a place for people to gather and socialise.
Garden
Barnes Lodge has many areas from hard paved patio areas to more tranquil grassed areas. The garden and courtyard has many plants and shrubs and we encourage our residents to join in our many gardening activities
Ensuite Bedroom
We have bright en-suite bedrooms in Barnes Lodge which lead onto a separate bathroom area. The rooms can be personalised by residents with items and their own furniture.
Bathrooms
Our en-suite wet rooms feature accessible facilities including large power showers, luxury hand basins contain plenty of space for toiletries and decorations, allowing residents privacy and comfort.
Salon
Our onsite salon and therapy room offers many treatments including hairdressing, nail manicures, and also other wellbeing treatments.
Snug
Our Snug area allows residents to enjoy a peaceful moment, reading a book or just relaxing.
