Senior Care Lead Named Regional Finalist at the Great British Care Awards 2026
We are incredibly proud to share that Lauren S., Senior Care Lead at Barnes Lodge Care Home, has been named a Regional Finalist in the Great British Care Awards 2026 in not one, but two categories:
Care Innovator
This award celebrates an individual who has demonstrated outstanding entrepreneurial skills by developing and successfully implementing a new service, system, or product. The innovation must bring clear benefits to staff, the organisation, and service users, with a measurable impact on improving outcomes and driving excellence.
Dementia Carer
This award recognises an individual who demonstrates the specific skills required to manage and deliver services that are sensitive to the needs of older people with dementia, while reflecting the provider organisation’s commitment to meeting the increasing demand for such care.
Being recognised in a single category is a fantastic achievement. To be shortlisted in two categories is a remarkable testament to Lauren's dedication, compassion and commitment to delivering outstanding person-centred care.
Lauren's passion for supporting people living with dementia, combined with her innovative approach to care, has made a real difference to the lives of residents and their families.
