A Better Nights Sleep - Care Home Acoustic Monitoring
At Avante Care & Support, we believe that exceptional care goes beyond meeting needs - it’s about helping every person we support enjoy the very best quality of life. One of the most important foundations of wellbeing is something we all rely on: a good night’s sleep.
For many years, traditional night-time care involved regular room checks throughout the night. While these checks were carried out with the best intentions, they could often interrupt the deep, restorative sleep that is so essential for physical health, emotional wellbeing, and overall quality of life.
Innovative technology is helping us take a different approach
The Acoustic Monitoring is revolutionising night-time care across our services. Using discreet, privacy-protected sensors, the system can detect sounds or movements that may indicate a resident needs support. Rather than carrying out routine checks, our dedicated night teams are alerted only when assistance is genuinely required.
This means residents can enjoy longer periods of uninterrupted sleep while still receiving prompt support whenever it is needed. It also provides reassurance for families, knowing their loved ones are being monitored safely and compassionately throughout the night.
At Avante Care & Support, we are committed to embracing innovative solutions that enhance both safety and independence. Acoustic Monitoring is just one example of how technology is helping us deliver person-centred care while improving everyday experiences for the people we support.
