Existing residents and service users
The health, safety and wellbeing of our residents and staff are our main priorities. We have therefore put in place robust and comprehensive contingency plans to respond to the coronavirus outbreak in the UK. Our plans are regularly reviewed and updated as advised by the Public health authorities. To continue to support our residents, service users and staff during this period of uncertainty with coronavirus COVID-19, our care homes remain closed to any visitors except health care professionals.
All of our care homes have been set up for video calling to enable you to keep in touch with your loved ones and we are confident that our staff will do all they can to ensure that life in our care services remains as comfortable and sociable as possible as we support them with delivering interactive activities, whilst practicing social distancing. We are very aware how difficult this must be to not visit a loved one and we know you have been unable to do so for several weeks now, thank you for your continued patience and understanding.
New residents and service users
We know that during the current pandemic people are still looking for and requiring residential care or home care services. We are currently still taking admissions into our care homes for those that need care. Please call our care homes or home care service if you are looking for care or need any further help.
We want to assure you that when we are admitting new residents from the community, we are doing so safely. We have clear policies in place to ensure that testing or screening is done. If it is appropriate for a resident to move in to our care homes, the resident will be asked to self-isolate for 14 days within the home upon admission.
During that time we will ensure that the new resident is as fully engaged in the life of the home as possible. We will not accept any admission we feel would be a risk to our current residents in our care homes. Our staff are all trained in infection control and are vigilant to the symptoms of COVID-19.
