Care Home in Snodland
Pilgrims View is a popular care home nestled in the pretty village of Snodland. The home has a warm and welcoming atmosphere where residents enjoy activities, go on outings and socialise with other residents and staff. At the heart of Pilgrims View is our philosophy of care, the Eden Alternative (Awarded Silver), where staff encourage social interaction engagement and work towards eradicating loneliness and boredom.
The home is well equipped, with bright bedrooms to support person-centered care. Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with any small furniture items, to make them feel homely. Pilgrims View residents can enjoy the beautiful gardens surrounding the home and join in with the daily program of activities. A visitor cabin on the grounds allows families to meet their loved ones safely in a warm, friendly, and Covid19 compliant environment. The minibus also gives residents the opportunity for day trips out to local places of interest.
Pilgrims View is well supported by the local community and, residents are often invited to join local village groups with many events held within the home, helping residents to interact and engage with the community around them.
All laundry is included and managed by the homes domestic team but should residents wish to continue independently with daily tasks such as cleaning and laundry; there is; there practical support available from staff to do so.
There are communal tablets available for residents wanting to browse the internet or communicate with loved ones through email or video.
In addition to residential care, Pilgrims View offers a respite care service that gives family carers or caregivers the chance to have a break from caring, go on holiday or simply have some well-earned time off.

Last week we rescued a very poorly hedgehog from one of our gardens. We reached out to Holborough Hedgehogs so they could advise us and they sent a lovely lady from Thorne Hedgehog Rescue to take 'Harry the hedgehog' for some further care.
When Eileen came to collect Harry, she shared more information on what Thorne Hedgehog Rescue do and what donations they accept from the public. So we are asking anyone that has any towels, blankets or dry or wet cat food, that they are willing to donate, to bring them to Pilgrims View so we can donate them to Thorne Hedgehog Rescue. ... Our cook, Kirsty, has been working hard at putting a new spring/summer menu together and was keen to introduce new flavours and understood the importance of the residents having a choice and giving feedback. So Kirsty invited the residents, as well as relatives and staff, to join her for a taster day where her and her team cooked up some fantastic meals for everyone to sample.
Samples included a Sweet Potato and Black Bean Chilli and a Beef Brisket Ragu with Creamy Mash.
The feedback was positive and we look forward to seeing the rest of the menu soon. ... See MoreSee Less

Lovely photos of them all 🌹x
On Tuesday we were visited by Owl Adventures where the residents were able to get up close to these magnificent birds of prey.
Residents were captivated by the owls and falcons, engaging with them by holding and stroking them and asking lots of questions. Thank you to Owl Adventures for this opportunity to bring back memories for some and experience something new for others. ... See MoreSee Less
