Our Dementia Care Approach
We provide high-quality Dementia Care for those living with memory loss. Our care provision focuses on the individual needs of our residents, and we develop our person-centered care plans to take account of our belief that everyone is unique and has specific particular requirements.
We follow the Eden Alternative philosophy of care, enabling us to ensure that we provide the highest standard of care for every one of our residents. Avante’s vision is to ensure that “everyone matters” within all of our care home communities and all our residents can enjoy a “vibrant and fulfilling life.”
Dementia Environment
The design of our home environment is significant for those living with dementia, and we consider this in how we design our care homes. Avante is committed to delivering on the principles of Dementia Care outlined by Sterling University, who are world leaders in the design of services and environments for people with dementia.
The layout of social areas mimic a domestic environment, so residents link with memories of their own homes. There are no visual or physical barriers, and residents can move freely within their suite.
There are quiet spaces for residents who might be feeling anxious or confused; these can support being accompanied by one of our care team who can provide support and reassurance.
