Avante Care & Support have announced plans to operate a brand new, 70-bedroom care home to be built on land at Lucks Hill in West Malling, Kent. The building is expected to open to new residents in the second half of 2026.
The home contributes to Avante’s Vision of ‘Communities where everyone has a vibrant and fulfilling life’ and is in line with Avante’s ambition to grow as part of its latest Strategic Plan. The home will be the second new home Avante will open within a year following the planned completion of another 70-bedroom care home in Westgate-On-Sea near Margate, expected to open at the end of 2025.
The new modern care home at West Malling will provide nearly 100 local jobs and will offer high-quality facilities to meet the needs of local residents. The interior finish of the home will be designed using local themes as inspiration and it will be built to high energy efficiency standards incorporating solar panels and air source heat pumps.
In addition, Avante will incorporate many facilities, including balcony terraces and plenty of amenities such as a café for use by residents, relatives, staff and the local community.

The deal is between Avante Care & Support as operators of the care home and an investor landlord as owners of the building based on a 35-year lease. Barcroft Estates in conjunction with Lawrence Baker will construct the care home. Other partners involved in the project include Harris Irwin as Architects, Fed 3 Projects as construction consultants for Barcroft and Lawson Queay as client representative for Avante Care & Support.
