Avante Care & Support hosted its annual Sparkle Awards ceremony on Wednesday 23rd October. A special occasion dedicated to acknowledging, celebrating and rewarding outstanding contributions from staff across Avante Care & Supports care homes, home care services and head office.
The event featured 16 award categories, including “Amazing Deputy,” “Star Carer,” “Catering Star” and “Outstanding leader”. The ceremony was held at the Inn on the Lake in Shorne near Gravesend, with over 160 attendees, including staff, Trustees, and residents from Avantes care homes.
Steel drummer Wade opened the ceremony with a vibrant and joyful performance, filling the room with an uplifting array of melodies. Followed by Veronica Anthony-David, Director of People & Organisational Development, starting the proceedings with a heartfelt welcome. She extended congratulations to all nominees and expressed gratitude to the entire staff for their unwavering commitment and hard work.
Managing Director, Stuart Cross, then took to the stage to provide an overview of Avante Care & Support’s achievements over the past year, recognising and thanking the staff for their vital role in providing vibrant and fulfilling lives to those under their care.
Following this, Chris Francis, Director of Property, presented an overview of Avantes future plans and developments, giving a great insight of the exciting plans ahead for Avante Care & Support.
The ceremony spotlighted excellence in care practices within the organisation’s care homes and home care services, staff development, and those who consistently go above and beyond to support their colleagues and others. For those unable to attend in person, a live stream of the event was made available throughout the afternoon. After the awards were presented, the event was concluded by the Chair Andrew Ireland. Attendees were serenaded by joyful melodies from solo Saxophonist Ruth from SAXZSMITH LTD during the buffet.
