Christopher was born in Dublin and moved to Catford, London in 1956. He has lived a life full of adventures, having travelled extensively as a long-distance lorry driver’s mate. Today, Christopher resides at Weybourne Care Home, where the support he receives has had a profoundly positive impact on his well-being.
When Christopher first arrived at Weybourne, over three years ago, he often became frustrated with the breakdown of communications around his personal finances. This meant Christopher would often be upset and frustrated leading to Christopher feeling unhappy at the home.
The team at Weybourne provided invaluable support, helping him manage these challenges and facilitate many trips and calls with his bank to reduce his frustrations and resolve the issues for him. With help from the team at Weybourne, Christopher now has independence in managing his own finances.
Christopher often expresses his appreciation for Weybourne Care Home, saying, “This home is everything you would want in a care home.”
His contentment is evident as he frequently enjoys sunbathing in the home’s garden, relaxing and reading a book.
An active individual, Christopher loves walking and is regularly supported by staff to go shopping and buy his own clothes, maintaining his independence and personal style.
