Amherst Court Care Home, Chatham

My wife and I want to inform you of our feelings and views on the care your staff gave our mum over these past 19 months when she was a resident of Amherst Court.

The level of compassion, understanding and making our mother feel safe and cared for, was so very apparent to us as a family. The professionalism of all elements of staff at Amherst Court was so profound, from the reception staff through to the administration, catering, maintenance, activities and management teams and last but not least the wonderful carers. From the very first day, mum was admitted, we as a family was so reassured she would be looked after and cared for , the initial walk around, and the level of competency shown on the administration side, was second to none.

Over the period mum was a resident, when her health had issues, again the level of care was outstanding, and after mums last discharge from Medway Hospital, where her mental health state was not good, your staff brought her back to the mum we knew, and we can’t thank everyone enough for this. As an example of care and wellbeing, Tina, went beyond all limits to ensure mum had a wonderful 94th birthday meal with us in February this year, in the café, at Amherst which we will all remember.

The team at Amherst Court all do such a wonderful service, and are true heroes in our minds.

Northbourne Court Care Home, Sidcup

When I came to the care home, I was a 7-stone man unable to walk without the aid of a Zimmer frame. Due to the brilliant care from all the staff members and the brilliant range of quality food, I am now a 12, sixty-something, fully fit man. A brilliant 90-minute of daily entertainment. It made me realise that these people were not just carers. They really cared.
