Care Service Assistant

Rates of pay of £8.67 to £9.67 per hour and 30p per business mile.

Home Care and Support Service

Kent Branch

Full Time Care Coordinator

Based at Faversham

 (37 hours per week)

Salary

£17,074.00

Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Care Coordinator with the Kent Home Care and Support service. As a Coordinator you will work as part of a team to coordinate care staff rotas to ensure staff are allocated to Service User’s care visits on a regular basis. You will assist with forward planning by ensuring that all care calls are covered each week, you will deal with incoming telephone enquiries and managing new referrals. You will also play a key role in communicating with various stakeholders including Service Users, families, the Local Authority and hospitals.

Essential Experience/Skills

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a friendly, professional and courteous manner.
  • Ability to work under pressure, to prioritise work and deal calmly and professionally with all enquiries.
  • The ability to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative.
  • Good level of computer literacy including use of Microsoft programmes.
  • Previous care experience.

Desirable Experience/Skills

  • Previous Coordination experience.
  • NVQ 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
