Plumstead Co-op Local Community Fund raises money for residents at Puddingstone Grange care home

Puddingstone Grange care home recently received £4110.29 from the Co-op in Plumstead towards the residents’ amenities fund. The Co-op’s Local Community Fund supports community projects across the UK.
Every year, the Co-op asks local charities to apply for the fund. Three charities are selected, and over the course of a year, the Co-op raises vital funds for all three.

For every pound spent by members on Co-op branded products and services using their Co-op membership cards, 2p goes to the community fund project. Pauline Hill, Activities Coordinator at Puddingstone Grange, applied for the fund and was delighted when she learned the Co-op had chosen Puddingstone Grange for a second consecutive year for the Co-op community fund.

Pauline Said “The staff and customers at the Co-op in Plumstead have been great supporters of Puddingstone Grange and the care work we do. On Saturday 4th December, residents Keith, Mary, Joyce, and I visited the Co-op to thank them for their kind and generous fundraising! It was great to be treated like royalty on our visit and to be welcomed with soup and scones! Thank you to everyone who raised such a large sum of money for the residents at Puddingstone Grange! We will meet with all the residents to see how they would like to spend the money”.
