Local Salvation Army visit Pilgrims View to celebrate Christmas
On Tuesday 8th December the local Salvation Army visited Pilgrims View care home in Snodland to start the Christmas celebrations.
The Christian church and charity service provided an hour long carol service which included Silent Night, O’ Little Town of Bethlehem and finished off with a merry version of Jingle Bells that all the residents joined in with.
Resident Connie especially enjoyed the day as her husband was one of the members playing for the Salvation Army.
‘I knew that Connie’s husband was a member of the Salvation Army so I thought I would ask him if he would mind bringing a few of the members to the home as a treat for the residents. He happily agreed and we had a wonderful afternoon. They arrived at 12 o’clock, entertained us all with Christmas Carols and then finished off the afternoon with a cup of tea and homemade mince pie’Julie Rogers, Activity Coordinator
