Court Regis Care Home raise over £800 at their annual Christmas fete
On Saturday 2nd December the seasonal festivities started at Court Regis Care Home with residents, family members and staff, joining together and supporting the homes annual Christmas fete.
The annual fete has been held at the home for over 5 years and every year it has gained more and more momentum, support and interest.
The weeks leading up to the fete saw residents and staff busy making crafts to sell on the day, with many of the artistic residents enjoying decorating china mugs with festive images and phrases, whilst other residents sculpted and painted festive tree decorations out of salt dough.
The homes Chef, Suzy, had also been busy baking Christmas cakes and bakes to be sold at the fayre, including lemon drizzle cake, snowman biscuits and mince pies.
Family members and staff all supported the event which took place throughout the afternoon on the 2nd December. John and Sally who live at Court Regis decided they would like to join the fete dressed as Mr and Mrs Christmas much to the delight of other residents and some of the younger visitors.
As well as selling Christmas baubles, festive mugs and cakes there was a Christmas raffle, bottle hoopla and tombola.
Well done to all that were involved with the fete it raised a staggering £827.51 for the homes amenity fund.
